Or have a memorable day out at one of the many immersive and and family friendly museums. Learn the stories and heritage of this area at the Ryedale Folk Museum or be transported back to the sights and sounds of wartime Britain at Eden Camp.

Amble round the cobbled snickelway passages of historic York, a city where ancient walls surround a gothic Minster, incredible attractions and quaint shops. 


An hour's drive will take you to a unique stretch of coastline, home to the historic spa town of Scarborough, dreamy Whitby, the golden sands of Filey and the many secluded coastal villages dotted along the Yorkshire Coast. 

Climb on-board a steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and experience 24 miles of Yorkshires amazing scenery.

CYCLE

Ready for a two-wheel adventure? Whether you're a family cyclist or a world-class mountain biker, there are miles of country roads, bridleways, forest tracks and disused railway lines to enjoy pedal powered freedom. There are three dedicated cycling centres:

Plan your rides with the 150 mile 'Moor to Sea Cycle Network' or the 171-mile North York Moors Cycleway guides and discover many of the special landscape highlights this area has to offer. 

WALK

Grab your walking boots and embrace the great outdoors. Roam across the breath taking landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors. Marvel at the vast expanse of heather-clad moorland, punctuated with ancient woodlands, tranquil valleys and dramatic cliffs. 

Ramble through the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Enjoy the unique and captivating area with its well-wooded rolling countryside and patchwork of arable and pasture fields.

SHOP

Roam the streets of bustling market towns, including Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, Malton and Thirsk, and you'll stumble across a great range of independent retailers and eateries. The weekly markets are a great place to while away a morning whilst stocking up on local produce, goodies, and crafts. A couple of miles from the farm and you'll find a family run farm shop packed full of local produce.

FAMILY FUN

Spend the day at Flamingoland, Yorkshire's ultimate Theme Park attraction and award winning Zoo or have a family fun filled day at Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park. 

  

ADVENTURE

However you like to get your exhilaration, North Yorkshire has it all. Clamber through the forest canopy on a tree top challenge in Dalby Forest, make a splash at the North Yorkshire Water Park, spend a thrilling afternoon coasteering or explore on a paddle board.


EAT & DRINK

Rustic cafes, cosy pubs, renowned fine dinning, fabulous restaurants, delicious ice cream parlours and award wining fish and chips can all be found locally. A mile from the farm is the sleepy, pretty village of Harome, home to the Michelin-starred restaurant , The Star Inn and the Pheasant Hotel which overlooks the village duck pond.
